Automation Systems

These are various types of gate automation operator systems. Choosing the correct type of operator system to suit your gate is probably the single most important requirement to ensure a trouble free gate system. Listed below are the various types of systems available:

Mechanical Rams - worm gear driven motor, suitable for small or domestic type applications. They can be used on steel, wooden, aluminium or P.V.C. gates. They are appreciated as a cost effective solution to a new or existing gate system.

Mechanical Underground Motors - electro-mechanically driven underground motors, suitable for domestic or light commercial applications. They are probably the most popular type of motor appreciated for their discreet look and design. Can be used on new or existing steel, wooden, aluminium or P.V.C. gate systems opening up to 180 degrees.

Hydraulic Rams - or electro-hydraulically driven motors surface mounted on to the gates, suitable for domestic and commercial high traffic applications. They are a popular choice for their sleek design and look along with their hydraulic characteristics, strength, reliability and durability. They can be used on new or existing steel, wooden, aluminium or P.V.C. gate systems opening up to 115 degrees.

Hydraulic Underground Motors - or electro-hydraulically driven underground motors, suitable for larger domestic and commercial high traffic applications. They are popular for their discreet look along with their hydraulic characteristics, strength, reliability and durability. They can be used on new or existing steel, wooden, aluminium or P.V.C. gate systems opening up to 180 degrees.

Articulated Arm Motors - mechanically driven motors, suitable for domestic applications. They are a popular and cost effective choice and are also used when a gates design and hinge system does not allow for the use of rams or underground motors. Their most common use is for gates which are hinged on large brick piers.

Sliding Gate Motors - electro-mechanically driven motors, suitable for sliding and cantilever gates. They can be used on new or existing steel, wooden, aluminium or P.V.C. gate systems.
